Quarterly Wrap Up – 2nd Quarter, 2019

We might be in the middle of the cold season, but the real estate market is showing all the signs of heating up again! Some factors that are having a positive on flow effect include the re-election of the Liberal Government (who are a bit more ‘pro-real-estate’) the reduction in interest rates from the RBA, as well as talks of APRA easing off on lending restrictions. These things combined have seen a renewed marketplace confidence from buyers & that is certainly evident in the larger numbers now in attendance at open homes & auctions.

Here at Guardian Realty, we are showing an 88% auction clearance rate for the past 3 months (well above greater Sydney’s 50-60% averages) and a higher volume of sales that we had experienced through the start of the year. Our belief is that we are heading back towards a seller’s market again.
